Saar Danon is the medical director of pediatric cardiology and congenital cardiac catheterization at Miller Children’s and Women’s Hospital. As an interventional pediatric cardiologist, he specializes in the use of catheters and devices to treat children and adults with congenital heart disease. He is also active in the diagnosis and treatment of infants and children with all forms of cardiac disease, as well as adults with congenital heart disease. Dedicated to providing exceptional care to his patients, Dr. Danon’s research focuses on developing new trans-catheter devices and techniques to treat children with congenital heart disease. One of his areas of interest is 3-dimensional imaging and modeling of structural heart disease. He is also active in medical mission trips to Central America, where he performs trans-catheter interventions and trains the local physicians in the care of children with complex congenital heart disease. Dr. Danon earned his medical degree from UCLA School of Medicine, completed his pediatric residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, did his pediatric cardiology fellowship at UCLA, and his interventional pediatric cardiology training at Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego. Dr. Danon is board certified in both pediatric cardiology and adult congenital heart disease.
